On this page, we have tried to gather the answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding Sofia Manning's Coach training programme.

If you have any unanswered questions, you are always welcome to contact us.

You can call us on +45 40 50 00 90 90 or send an email to info@sofiamanning.dk

Q: How much does the programme cost?

A: DKK 42,495 excluding VAT. It is possible to pay in instalments. Read more about your options right here.

Q: Can I get a grant for the programme or get it tax-free?

A: The Gross Salary option, Salary Reorganisation or Flexible Salary Package refers to the possibility for an employee to have a benefit or product paid for by their workplace above their gross salary. This means that your company pays for the training and (partially) deducts VAT. The price is deducted from your gross salary over a year, for example, and you save tax.

Please note that this is general information about the possibilities. For exact information about the conditions, we suggest that you contact SKAT on tel. +45 72 22 18 18 18 and, of course, talk to your employer.

Q: When will the lessons take place?

A: Lessons take place between 9.00-17.00. This applies to all our weekend and weekday lessons, live as well as online ( Exception for weekend lessons: Feedback days are from 17:30-21:00).

Q: Where will the lessons take place?

A: Lessons will take place online over Zoom.

Q: Why choose Sofia Manning's Coach training programme?

A: Sofia Manning's coach training programme is Denmark's first, oldest and most experienced coach training programme. With us, you get an internationally recognised education at the highest level. The foundation is Sofia Manning's coaching method, The 6 Steps, which is widely recognised as the classic form of coaching in Denmark. The programme has some of the country's most skilled and experienced teachers, and it is carefully designed to provide you with maximum support on your educational journey - both personally and professionally. You'll be assigned a coach trainer from the start of the programme, you'll have mentoring sessions with PCC-certified coaches, and there are 6 supervised feedback sessions to ensure you receive the highest level of professional training. In addition to a thick training manual, you also get a customised online course with Sofia Manning for extra support, insight and knowledge. We organise regular intro events (both online and live) where you can meet us, gain inspiring knowledge about the coaching profession and get your questions answered.

Q: How do you prepare for the programme?

A: It's a good idea, but not a requirement, to have read the book COACHING by Sofia.

Q: How much time should I expect to spend between modules on exercises?

A: There is no homework from module to module, but we recommend that you practise coaching as much as you can between modules - at least five times.

In addition, it is important that you set aside time in your calendar from the start to follow the mandatory online course with Sofia Manning, which you get access to when you purchase the programme. The online programme is built around 5 modules, just like the live training (whether you follow our physical or online coach training programme). We recommend that you follow the online programme alongside your live training, module by module.

Q: How do I practise? - Do I have to find test clients myself?

A: We recommend that you have a minimum of 5 practice coaching sessions between each module so that you leave the programme with as much training as possible. We do not recommend that you practise on your own friends and family members. However, you are welcome to practice with each other within the class - and we have good experience with our students "lending" interested friends, boyfriends, colleagues, etc. as practice clients for their fellow students.

Q: Do I have to choose whether I want to be trained as a Life or Business Coach?

A: If you've come across coaches calling themselves either Life Coach or Business Coach from Sofia Manning, it's because we used to offer the two specialities separately. Today, however, both specialities are an integral part of your training, so you learn both life and business coaching. Your title after completing the programme is today: Sofia Manning Coach.

Q: Is the team of teachers the same throughout the programme?

A: Yes, it's the same team that delivers the training at all locations. Meet them here.

Q: What are the respective backgrounds of my fellow students?

A: At Sofia Manning, we have a diverse and inclusive learning environment. You will meet students from a wide range of ages and backgrounds and you will sit side by side, young and old, skilled and unskilled, sports star, therapist, craftsman, and executive - whether you are self-employed, from the private sector or the public sector. We don't discriminate on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, age, nationality, physical ability, disability, political beliefs, ethnicity, family status or religious beliefs. In other words, we are not for a specific niche, but for anyone who wants to learn the craft of coaching.

Q: How does Sofia Manning accommodate students with disabilities or impairments?

A: If you suffer from a disability or have some form of impairment, we encourage you to have an individual conversation about any needs and a dialogue about the extent to which we can accommodate you. Where deemed necessary, the student will be sent material in the desired format prior to each module. For physical teaching, a special seat will be reserved as needed, and the student will also be assigned a coach trainer to meet any needs.

Q: How does the exam work?

A: The certification is oral and takes place online. The oral certification consists of a coaching session where you coach a fellow student in front of an ICF-approved mentor with PCC status. The session lasts 40 minutes, after which you receive feedback.

Your Sofia Manning Coach certificate will state that the programme is ACTP-approved by the ICF (International Coach Federation).

Q: How does Sofia Manning support me after completing the programme?

A: Sofia Manning has developed an online programme designed to support you while you are on the programme. You will have access to this online programme for 2 years after graduation. Module 4 focuses on how you, as a coach, can go above and beyond. Here you will get good advice and guidance on how to best get started as a coach. Your manual also includes several templates that you can use as a starting point in your work as a coach.

After completing the programme, we invite you to join our closed Facebook group: Sofia Manning Coach Connect. A group for sparring and networking for all our trained coaches. You will also have the opportunity to receive our newsletter, which is specifically targeted at our certified coaches.

As a Sofia Manning Coach, you also have the opportunity to apply to be part of our coach trainer internship programme. In addition, we offer the opportunity for further education in the form of our Master Coach Programme, Master Specialisations, Masterclasses and Mastertalks.

Q: Does Sofia Manning offer credit for partial completion of the programme?

A: No, at this time we are not able to offer credit for partial completion of the programme. You must complete the entire programme. Questions about this can be directed to Helle Reimer-Hansen at info@sofiamanning.dk.

Q: My boss is considering to fund my training programme - what are my arguments?
