Theory, practical training and self-reflection

Every day of the Coach training programme is packed with theory, practical training and self-reflection. We do our utmost every single session to ensure that you become the best coach you can be.

In the Coach training programme, you get a total of 155 hours of ICF-approved training - that is more than any other coach training programme in Denmark can offer. You will be taught by professional coaches who are successful in their own coaching careers. You will receive a 200-page manual full of coaching tools and a training book with exercises.

The practical training is essential to become a good coach. That is why Mentoring and Feedback is a mandatory part of the programme.

What is Feedback? Feedback means that you train, practise and test your skills in a supervised setting - and you get feedback from an experienced coach.

So what is Mentoring? Mentoring is when you receive supervision on your role as a coach, i.e. developing your strengths, daring to stand by your coaching style. There are ten Mentoring sessions during the programme. Mentoring is always given by an ICF certified coach.

To support you further, as part of your programme, you will have access to a coach trainer, a trained coach who will support you throughout the programme and Certification.

You can see all relevant dates and times in our calendar. There is usually a month's time between each module and it is planned in such a way to ensure that each module sticks so that your new knowledge is integrated into you as a coach. This also gives you time to both train and integrate your new knowledge in your practice.

With Sofia Manning, you not only learn about coaching, you also learn to coach.

The structure of the coach training programme

The coach training programme is divided into five Modules, wich are typically distributed over a six-month course. Between the modules there are also 2 Special Sessions that give you inspiration, perspectives and deeper insights. You will further have 2 mentor days where you learn more about ICF's core competences and ethical norms together with ICF certified coach mentors, as well as 2 mentor sessions where you will be one on one with your chosen mentor. Here you can see how the programme is structured around five modules and what the teaching contains. In other words:

  • 5 Modules

Absolutely wonderful experience. I have gained insights, I had not imagined. Great tools and found faith in myself. I am much clearer about what I want, what brings me joy and which people are important in my life.
